Developed in the 1980s as part of a government initiative to promote premium tea cultivars, it quickly gained popularity for its delicate and elegant character. Its name, "Jade," also known as "Cui Yu," reflects the tea’s vibrant green leaves and gem-like qualities. Adding a heartfelt touch, this cultivar was named after the mother of the person who developed it, making it as personal as it is iconic.
